Xmas gift exchange

Hey peeps!

Regarding the xmas gift exchange.. can we settle the way it will be carried out?
i need to buy a pressie soon~! hee :)

1) Everyone just buy a non-gender specific gift. then on tt day, all gifts will have a number and they will be placed under the xmas tree (if there is one) or any corner in the house. then we'll have a time for gift exchange where everyone picks a number in a container and collects the relevant gift?

2) Everyone buys a gift and on tt day, we just randomly do gift exchange in any pairs? but if there is an odd number then it will be very weird?

3) Draw lots or assign 1 to 1 for gift exchange? this one will require confirmed attendence.
this is not impossible acutally. one person can coordinate then he/she randomly pairs up people in the class who are going then sms to let the person know lo?

Personally, i prefer 1 as its less of a hassle! =)
I need all of your help by voting (1, 2 or 3)! hee.. thanks alot and i hope i can get a reply asap so i know roughly what to buy? thanks!
