Today was basketball finals for boys and girls. Girls against VJC, guys against TJC.I think most people in class went down to cheer... coz must have HWACHONG SPIRIT...
The girls game was first and as expected, we won... rather dominating victory too. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the boys game... Although they fought back from a ten-point deficit in the first quarter to a 4 point lead in the 3rd or 4th quarter ( can't really remember, getting old...), TJ fought back valiantly in the last 3 minutes to gain a 5 point lead in the end... SADNESS. I guess everyone was quite disappointed coz the match was rather close in the mid-stages with the lead ping-ponging between both teams. Sigh, but i think it was a good performance by the basketball team and i must say congratulations... even to the boys... although they didn't get the results we'd all hoped for. Hopefully next year can get champ...eh teng chuan?
But i must say, it was super-retarded of us to sing school song at the end. Reasons are simple...
a) We didn't win
b) Wrong time to sing, TJ was cheering lor...
c) Sing chinese version some more, really not long...
d) Most people were exhausted after cheering for so long
Hence i must say it was not the smartest idea from the councillors... no offence gum, kf, shu hui.
All in all, a rather good experience indeed...
